Lavender Aged Dark Balsamic

An ancient flower long used in culinary applications, lavender is a member of the mint family and is also closely related to rosemary, sage, and thyme.  Therefore, one of our favorite pairings for this Lavender Balsamic is with our Herb de Provence Olive Oil for a wonderfully savory and floral salad dressing or glaze for turkey, quail, pork loin or chicken. Lavender is also complementary to fennel, oregano, and rosemary, so other delicious pairings include Tuscan Herb or Rosemary Olive Oil. We also like a bit of this drizzled in savory stews and wine sauces (it adds a wonderful mouth-watering aroma).  We even like a tablespoon in our coffee or lattes, or make a mixed cocktail with vodka, club soda, and crushed basil leaves.
